You’ve got to love the magic mirror with lust on its mind, Sheriff Nash who is so rigidly determined to remain an unbeliever, and of course jqmes Coyote I got intrigued by this series when I read a story from later on in the series in Hexedthe story was really well done, it introduced terrific characters and the writing was great.
It allyxon a raw elemental power that often overwhelms her. Basically everyone, including the asshat sheriff she supposingly loved, believes she is dead.
This book is the first in the paranormal action series. The prequel “A Little Night Magic” in Hot for the Holidays is about her friend Jamison a cougar shifter and he has a couple of cameos in this series. I’ve really enjoyed them all so far! This book focuses on Janet and her gaining knowledge of her own background and her powers. Don’t have a Kindle? It was also interesting to see the characters from the beginning and start to see how they got from there to where they were in the story Storwalker read, where many of the relationships had changed and developed quite a bit.

I like the supporting characters. Luckily the relationship is not what is carrying this story or it would’ve been a novella.
Stormwalker was a really enjoyable book and a great start to this series. Wicked mothers have always been a favorite of mine for evil villains, and this one is evil to the bone. I want to know about the Grandmother. Allyson James conveys setting through clear exposition, but since her world only tweaks ours, she doesn’t have to resort to obscene infodump blobs of text.
